Hello There provides users with a new way to introduce themselves to potential employers. The user can create a custom video introduction along with additional information about their qualifications. The user can add a headline and a short introduction to their page, which is presented with the video. Links can be added to give the potential employer access to the user’s cover letter, resume, Twitter profile, LinkedIn profile and Facebook profile. The user can create a separate video and page for each job they apply to. Hello There also provides users with stats so they can see when the potential employer viewed their video.Show more screenshots »
Hello There was founded by Shane Mac. The application was created to give users a more personal way to approach a potential employer. Although resumes can convey quite a bit, actually speaking to hiring personnel can often yield better results. Hello There gives users a way to introduce themselves face to face without actually being there.
Many applications allow users to create and share their resumes online. Hello There takes a slightly more personal approach by allowing the user to create a video and build a customized page for each job they apply to. The user can tailor their video and page content to the company or individual they may by interviewing with. The application also lets the user see who reviewed their video and when it was seen.
SayHelloThere.com welcomes visitors with a dark grey background and hints of lively green. The user interface is very clean and clutter free. The user’s page includes a headline along with their personalized video. Links are found near the bottom, right hand corner that allow the employer to review the user’s social networking profiles, resume and cover letter or whatever the user would like them to see.
A new user can get started with Hello There by clicking the green “Try It Now!” button found near the center of the homepage. The following form allows the user to set up their first page (which is free). The first step asks for the recipient’s name along with a short message from the user. The second step allows the user to upload an existing video from their computer or take a new video with a web cam. The third step allows the user to add their phone number and email address, which is included on the Hello There page. The bottom of the page allows the user to add more content and files to their Hello There page. This is where the user can upload a resume, cover letter or portfolio file.
Hello There provides users with three pricing options. The first is free and allows the user to build one page. The second costs just under $15 and upgrades to five individual video pages. An unlimited account is also available that costs just under $40 per month. Each plan gives the user access to all the current Hello There features. The only limitation is how many pages the user can design.
Anyone searching for a job can appreciate Hello There. The application is better suited for professionals who are looking for jobs in offices or technical careers (since internet access is required to review the user’s Hello There page).
